COUSINE CAMARADERIE.
Somehow she got stuck with being my chauffeur for the day, and I had many errands to tend to. The first item on the agenda was to get my laptop to a repair shop. This was a simple task, and the technician said that I would hear from him by Monday with further details. Our next stop was at Colby's favorite dispensary. Boy, I had never purchased drugs so elegantly, and the deal was to die for. It was the lowest I had ever paid for an ounce and undoubtedly the best quality. Following the drug deal, we headed to downtown Denver.
After driving around for a bit, we ended up at REI. The old brick building that housed this outdoorsy oasis was glorious. Originally built in 1901, the building generated electricity for the Denver Tram Company. I wanted to buy just about everything in that store, but I ended up getting fresh tent stakes and a pair of TEVA sandals. We were close to Taylor's house, the older Suta cousin. He has a new fiance, who I have yet to meet. We swung by his place and drove to a local watering hole. After appetizers and a drink, we returned to his humble abode. We shared another drink and caught up a little more. It was great to chat and meet the future family.
Colby and I had to get back to Littleton for a date with her parents. The four of us went to a local distillery downtown Littleton. My first drink was their bourbon on the rocks to get the full flavor. The next beverage was an old-fashioned, and it was a palate-pleasing experience. We returned to home base and prepared a lovely meal. I got to meet another potential family member as Colby's boyfriend joined us. For dinner, we ate steak, crab cakes, cauliflower and potato puree, and roasted vegetables. It was a fantastic feast, and the wine was wonderful. Before heading to bed, we flipped the photo album and reminisced on our childhood. It was a busy day, and I was ready for some sleep.
