LA VILLE D'IDAHO.
The air conditioner was on full blast. Blackout curtains prevented the sun from waking me. I was cocooned in that big comfy bed. Needless to say, I slept in super late. When I finally crawled out of bed, the first order of business was to get some breakfast. Kaitlynn and I made our way downtown and secured a spot outside a cafe. I ordered the espresso, and it was not great. The flavor was a little bitter, and the sugar did not mix into the coffee. As always, there was no crema. I also consumed a yummy bagel with cream cheese, bacon, and tomatoes.
Our next move was to drive to The Eastern Idaho Aquarium. We saw all sorts of fish, birds, and reptiles. My favorite part was unquestionably the lizards. They are basically little baby dinosaurs. I learned many facts during this visit, but my favorite is about clownfish. According to science smarties, all clownfish are born male and have the ability to switch to females. Once you switch, there is no going back. After our little field trip, we went to Old Navy to spruce up our evening attires. I found a four-dollar sweater off the sales rack. This added some diversity to our dining apparel. When our shopping sprees were finished, we stopped at several screen repair shops.
Unfortunately, nobody had the proper parts to fix my broken gadgets. We returned to the motel because Kaitlynn had a video interview. I made my way to a nearby restaurant for a beer and to work on things. When the interview was done, we prepared ourselves for another evening of fine dining. We walked about ten minutes along the falls to Smoking Fins. My evening started with a flaming whiskey cocktail. It was presented to me with one of the garnishes ablaze. This is an exciting way to welcome any guest to your establishment. Next was the appetizer course, I slurped up two oysters on the half shell, and we shared some roasted brussel sprouts and cauliflower. For the main course, I wanted to mix and match. My order was one roll of spicy salmon, smoothed mashed potatoes, a cup of miso soup, a bowl of chowder, and a glass of Riesling. I was stuffed, but dessert still remained. We had a simple slice of mango carrot cake, and it was sublime.
After settling up, we quickly returned to the motel and jumped into Kaitlynn's car. We were running late, but the movie theatre was not too far. We arrived right when Jumanji was starting, and we practically had the screening room all to ourselves. The movie was undoubtedly a Hollywood production, and the CGI was hard to watch. However, the actors gave a fine performance, and I chuckled on several occasions. It was late, and when we returned to the hotel. I easily hit the hay.
