VOILA, LE CHEF.

08/05/2020

Another successful slumber. It feels fantastic to catch up on sleep. When I finally got moving, I made my way to the coffee. For calories, I consumed some cinnamon bread with butter. My morning office was the porch again. I planned out my route and sleeping situations to Denver. It is going to be a hell of a climb these next three days. After establishing a tentative route, I typed up some stuff for the Tom Tracker. It was a triumphant morning in my book.

The tremendous television in the basement was too tempting. There has not been much time to partake in this relaxing stimulant, so I decided to spoil myself. I ended up binging a few episodes of The Last Dance, and it was quite delightful. More work needed to be completed, and I returned to the first coffee spot that I visited. Unfortunately, the new girl was working the espresso machine. This shot was way more acidic and lacked any sign of crema. Needless to say, I was somewhat disappointed. During my stay at this coffee place, I worked on my adequate autobiography. It is difficult to write about your life and not come off as a narcissist. How are you supposed to illustrate your upbringing and highlight your skills without sounding arrogant or bais? Regardless of this challenge, I managed to get some writing completed.

I biked back to home base and borrowed a vehicle. While on my way to the grocery store, I took a wrong turn and ended up on Interstate 70. It was about ten miles until the first exit. This was my first prolonged solo drive in quite some time, and I did not mind. I also got a pleasant preview of the route I will be taking tomorrow. After my detour, I successfully located the grocery store. It did not take long for me to gather the necessary ingredients for dinner this evening.

When I returned, it was time to chef it up. About forty-five minutes later, I was plating my masterpiece. We enjoyed baked salmon with lemon and rosemary, roasted zucchini and squash, potato and cauliflower puree, roasted mushrooms stuffed with hummus, and a stellar riesling. It was definitely a delicious dinner. We opened another bottle of wine and chatted for a while. The time had come to put the kids to bed. I knocked out some dishes quickly and retreated to the basement. After commandeering the couch, I fell asleep to The Last Dance.
